REGAIN YOUR FREEDOM TO MOVE
Functional movement is a type of training that is based on real-world situational bio-mechanics.
It tends to be multi-joint, multi-muscle exercises… so instead of moving only the elbows, for example, you move elbows, shoulders, spine, hips and knees.
CORRECTING POSTURE IN MOVEMENT
From birth we begin to develop dominant and weaker muscles, and throughout life due to lack of activity, injury or accidents we create poor muscles habits that negatively impact the body.
Functional movement corrects suboptimal muscle habits or “posture in movement” by determining weaker/dominant muscles and creating a training routine to balance them.
EXERCISE IS FOR EVERYONE
Exercise isn’t only to develop muscles. Good exercise stimulates the nervous system, improving our health. This can be the most simple of routines, as long as correct movement patterns are used.
Because FM training takes into account dominant and weaker muscles, it allows for anyone, no matter the age or physical condition, to reap the benefits of exercising.
